Teen Job Market Improving, Still Tough

Colorado teens looking for jobs will see a tough job market this year, but initial numbers released by the outplacement firm Challenger, Gray & Christmas are showing a positive start. Employment of 16- to 19-year olds grew by 71,000 in May nationwide, a “vast improvement” from the previous year.

State Education Board Receives Draft Rules for Educator Effectiveness

The Colorado Board of Education is receiving draft rules for a new statewide educator effectiveness evaluation system. 

The push to come up with a means of evaluating teachers and administrators was mandated in 2010 by Senate Bill 10-191.
