Bin Laden Son Who Rejects Violence Condemns Father's 'Arbitrary Killing'

Saying that "arbitrary killing is not a solution to political problems," an adult son of Osama bin Laden has condemned his father's killing.

The statement from 30-year-old Omar bin Laden, which was sent to The New York Times, is said to be on behalf of himself and other adult sons of the al-Qaida leader, the Timesreports.

Omar bin Laden, as the Times reminds us, previously "denounced violence of all kinds" and had not lived with his father since 1999. The statement makes the case that the elder bin Laden should have been "arrested and tried in a court of law so that truth is revealed to the people of the world."
