Buffs Best Among Peace Corps Volunteers
The University of Colorado in Boulder was recently voted the nation's top party school, but today the administration had a far more illustrious title to brag about.
For the second year in a row CU was ranked first in the nation for the number of graduates serving as Peace Corps volunteers. National Peace Corps Director Aaron Williams spoke at the oldest building on campus Wednesday about the historic partnership between the Peace Corps and the university.
Williams said CU's number one status was in large part due to the “university's dedication to service” and leadership at the school who support both domestic and international volunteering. Williams was presented with a Buffs baseball cap, and in turn gave Provost Russell Moore a gold coin to commemorate the Peace Corps' 50th anniversary this year.
