October was a month long celebration of 20 years of the World Cafe that cumulated with a weekend of amazing concerts. KUNC Member Dan Braun won an opportunity to see these shows up close and personal; so we tossed him a camera and sent him on his way. The final Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of October had to have hosted some of the best live performances that World Cafe has ever seen. Keep in mind, David Dye and the World Cafe have been interviewing and showcasing live performances from up and coming artists since 1991. Feist, the Indigo Girls, John Hiatt, Tedeschi & Trucks.... Don't take my word for it though, take Dan's!
That special surprise that was hinted at turned out to be Mumford & Sons, who got a chance to team up with Dawes at the Saturday show. Watch this incredible rendition of "When My Time Comes":
