Good morning. I'm Steve Inskeep.
It's the season for creatively fried food. Last year on this program, we told of you fried beer on sale at the Texas State Fair. At this year's Indiana State Fair, Dennis and Cheryl Reas have a product of the whole family - deep fried Kool-Aid. They tell the Indianapolis Star it looks like a red hush puppy. Mmm. If that doesn't appeal to you, try the ice cream burger. It's a cheeseburger with pickles, onions and a dollop of fried ice cream on top.
