Google has taken it's mapping technology to the slopes. Street views, routes, and run and lift maps for 38 of the most popular mountains in the U.S. and Canada, including 11 of Colorado's ski resorts, can now be found on Google Maps.
Google made the announcement Wednesday on the Google Maps Blog. Blue, green and black runs are shown as solid colored lines and ski lifts are red dotted lines in Google Maps. Getting lost on the slopes will be all the more difficult since the technology is available on iPhone and Android devices making the need for paper maps obsolete.

If you're curious on how they do it, we caught a glimpse of the Google Maps Trekker's shadow during his trip to Breckenridge. It looks like they were outfitted with a snowmobile this trip, but typically the trekker travels on foot wearing the Google Trekker backpack and moving along the trails.
