An English major on a sports scholarship in college, Ellis Paul took an unexpected turn down the path to a rewarding music career. He performs concerts in Denver, Fort Collins, and Beaver Creek this weekend...

He extols the lives of many famous American heroes -- from Ben Franklin to Rachel Carson -- in his new album, The Hero In You. I spoke with singer-songwriter Ellis Paul about his Maine childhood and about his uplifting new "heroes" project which features the voices of his own kids.
