Hickenlooper Wants Colorado to Be ‘Healthiest’ State

New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg made waves this week when he suggested a proposed ban on super-sized soft drinks as a way to cut obesity rates. Closer to home, Colorado boasts the least obese population in the country.
But Governor John Hickenlooper told a crowd in Aspen this week that he’s now trying to make Colorado the “healthiest state” in the nation.
To achieve that illustrious title he says there needs to be changes to the state’s health care system and more incentives for people to live a healthy lifestyle.
