Iran Unveils Unmanned Flying Saucer

STEVE INSKEEP, host:

Good morning. I'm Steve Inskeep.

Iran says it's at the cutting edge of aerodynamics. Last week, the official Fars news agency announced that Iran has created the world's first flying saucer. The agency said the unmanned Zohal flying saucer comes equipped with two separate imaging systems that make it ideal for taking aerial photos. There's no word if this is an early April fool's joke, but the press release is accompanied by an artist's rendering that looks like a still shot from "War of the Worlds."
