Thousands of jobs could be coming to Loveland thanks to a new Aerospace Clean Energy Manufacturing and Innovation Park. The city was one of 40 proposals chosen by the Colorado Association for Manufacturing and Technology, which along with NASA is spearheading the effort.
“This is an incredible potential for Loveland and all of Northern Colorado as several thousand jobs are expected from the aerospace clean energy project,” said Loveland Mayor Cecil Gutierrez.
Over the next 90 days, the city will be negotiating the terms of the agreement with CMAT. If the plan goes through, the Park would be housed at the former Agilent Technologies campus.
Gutierrez stresses that the plan is a long-term project, adding that thousands of jobs won’t materialize overnight. But manufacturing and engineering jobs will appear over time.
