This Friday is the National Day of Listening – an unofficial holiday – where you are encouraged to set aside time and record the stories of your family and friends. KUNC’s Brian Larson spoke to the Day of Listening founder David Isay about why the act of listening is so important.
You can record your own “Day of Listening” interview at the KUNC studios this Friday. You’ll find more information here or by calling 800-443-5862.
David Isay is the founder of StoryCorps and the recipient of numerous broadcasting honors, including five Peabody Awards and a MacArthur “Genius” Fellowship. He is the author/editor of numerous books that grew out of his public radio documentary work.
