Newt Gingrich Says He'll Keep Going; Top Campaign Aides Quit

Even though "the entire top echelon of New Gingrich's presidential campaign resigned on Thursday," the former House speaker is saying he's still in the race for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination:

"I am committed to running the substantive, solutions-oriented campaign I set out to run earlier this spring. The campaign begins anew Sunday in Los Angeles," Gingrich says on his Facebook page.

NPR's Mara Liasson says the resignations came as Gingrich and his wife returned from a cruise in the Greek islands. "Gingrich's former aides in Iowa complained that he wasn't doing what was necessary to get his campaign off the ground," she tells our Newscast Desk.
