Pakistan's Governing Coalition Back Together

For now, at least, dire predictions of a collapse have been proved wrong (as we thought might happen):

"The second-largest member of Pakistan's ruling coalition reversed its decision to join the opposition Friday, averting the potential collapse of the government in this nuclear-armed nation," the Associated Press reports.

Or, as the BBC puts it, "Pakistani Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has pulled his government back from the brink, persuading a former ally to rejoin the coalition."
