Here in California, the news came overnight that former governor Arnold Schwarzenegger fathered a child outside his marriage 10 years ago. He confirmed to the Los Angeles Times that the mother had spent 20 years as a member of the family's household staff.
California's former first lady, Maria Shriver, moved out of the family's Brentwood mansion earlier this year. The LA Times reported she left after Schwarzenegger told her about the child. Schwarzenegger says he has apologized to his wife and children.
