Robbie Robertson reflects on the experiences that inspired his latest album in an extensive interview on this World Cafe.

As guitarist and principle songwriter for The Band, Robbie Robertson has made a lasting impact on Americana music. Since 1968, Robertson has released 14 albums with The Band, including four with Bob Dylan, and five solo records. He's been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, and ranked among Rolling Stone's 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time.

His latest album, How to Become Clairvoyant, is an autobiographical song cycle reflecting on his life and experiences, as well as those of his friends, heroes and collaborators. On this episode of World Café, Robertson discusses the stories that inspired the album in an extensive interview, recorded in front of a live audience at the 11 th annual NON-COMMvention radio conference in May.
