Saying that the leaks pose "real risks to real people ... and often to the very people who have dedicated their own lives to protecting others," Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton just blasted WikiLeaks.org for disclosing thousands of cables and other messages written by U.S. diplomats and intelligence operatives in recent years.
"There is nothing laudable about endangering innocent people and there is nothing brave about sabotaging the peaceful relations between nations," she added.
Clinton also said "the illegal disclosure of classified information ... puts people's lives in danger," including not just diplomats or intelligence officers but also the human rights workers, journalists, religious leaders and others they deal with around the world in some of the globe's most dangerous nations.
