We're happy to announce facility changes to better serve Summit County. KMPB, 88.7fm, has been purchased by KUNC and 88.3fm will be relocating in the valley and on the dial - returning later today at 88.1fm.

Because the mountain terrain provides challenges to FM reception, KUNC is investing additional resources to provide better coverage throughout Summit County.

Earlier this year we purchased KMPB, broadcasting at 88.7fm. This station provides a quality signal to southern end of the county, including the Breckenridge community. Following the addition of the KMPB signal an application was made to the FCC requesting permission to move the pre-existing KUNC translator at 88.3 to a new location in Dillon to offer better serve to Dillon, Silverthorne, Frisco, etc. As part of the approval process the frequency of the new Dillon facility is now 88.1fm.

Here is a map of the new signal coverage of Summit County:

We're excited to have the opportunity to expand our service in one of the mountain communities of Colorado. Your feedback is greatly appreciated, feel free to leave your comments in the comment section below or you can email comment@kunc.org.
