Thousands Protest Again In Bahrain; Second Death Reported In Iran

Some of the latest news about protests and related news in Bahrain, Egypt, Iran and other nations in the Middle East and nearby:

— "Thousands of protesters poured into a main square in Bahrain's capital Tuesday in an Egypt-style rebellion that sharply escalated pressure on authorities as the Arab push for change gripped the Gulf for the first time," the Associated Press reports.

The Guardianwrites that "a second person was killed in yesterday's demonstration in Iran, a member of the Iranian parliament said today."

— In Sanaa, Yemen, "hundreds of anti-government demonstrators and government loyalists fought with rocks and batons ... Tuesday in political unrest fuelled by Egypt's uprising," Reuters says. "About 1,000 protesters, marching down a street leading to the presidential palace, were blocked by riot police."

— " Egypt's ruling military council has announced that work on reforming the country's constitution is to be completed in 10 days," the BBC says.
