UPDATE: President's News Conference Pushed Back To 12:30 p.m. ET

Originally set to get started at 11:15 a.m. ET, President Obama's news conference is now scheduled to get going at 12:30 p.m. ET, the White House says.

While his aides say the president will begin by speaking about rising energy prices, the other things he's almost sure to be asked about will include today's devastating earthquake in Japan and the threat of tsunamis across the Pacific.

We're planning to live-blog during the news conference, and NPR.org will be streaming the audio.
