Warning: Severe Weather, And Maybe More Tornadoes, Due This Week

After several hundred tornado-related deaths in recent weeks across Alabama and other parts of the south and with historic flooding now happening along sections of the Mississippi River, this isn't the news anyone wants to hear:

"More Severe Weather Due After A Brief Lull." ( USA Today)

"This week, there will be several days with a severe-weather threat from the southern Plains to parts of the Ohio and Mississippi valleys, AccuWeather meteorologist Alex Sosnowski said."

The Weather Channel says that:

"Upper-level energy will move in across the West and into the Plains from the weekend into early next week. Ahead of this approaching energy will be an increasingly warm and humid air mass. Combine these ingredients together and the stage will be set for severe storms, initially beginning in the Plains."
