To Woo South, Romney Needs More Than A Twang

Mitt Romney picked up some support in Saturday's contests, but there may be trouble lurking for him in the near future, as the GOP race moves to the Deep South.

Despite his second-place finish in Kansas, Romney scored victories Saturday in caucuses in Guam, the Northern Marianas and the U.S. Virgin Islands. He also won county conventions in Wyoming.

Tuesday's primaries are in Alabama and Mississippi, and the reddest of states are proving to be a tough sell for the former Massachusetts governor. He's trying his best to connect with the Republican base.

Santorum Takes Kansas, Romney Wins Territories in GOP Caucuses

Rick Santorum is the winner of the Kansas Republican caucus, according to The Associated Press, which says his victory is a "rout" over competitors Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul. The Topeka Capital-Journal caught up with the head of the Kansas Republican Oarty, who said "Santorum is cleaning up ... he has about three or four times more than anyone else."

Romney Mocks Pro-Obama 'Infomercial" And Its Celebrated Filmmaker

Campaigning in Mississippi on Friday, Mitt Romney took a pre-emptive swipe at a new 17-minute video about President Obama to be distributed next week by Obama's re-election campaign.

"The Road We've Traveled" was created by filmmaker Davis Guggenheim, who won an Academy Award for the 2006 Al Gore climate-change documentary, An Inconvenient Truth.
