Colorado voters may have approved the recreational use of marijuana in Tuesday’s election, but it will still take time before all the details are worked out.
It’s now legal to smoke marijuana recreationally in Colorado. Voters passed amendment 64 making Colorado the first state in the country, along with Washington State, to legalize pot.
With such a tight race – third party candidates could impact the presidential race in many swing states including Colorado.
On Tuesday, Colorado will be voting on Amendment 64, a constitutional amendment to legalize marijuana for recreation use.
The Colorado Bureau of Investigation reports that 10,259 people were arrested in the state for possession of marijuana last year, despite the fact that 100,000 people now have the legal right to use medical marijuana.
