As wildfires burn across Colorado, the state’s four Republican congressmen introduced an amendment to the Farm Bill aimed at adding additional air tankers to fight wildfires.

The Black Forest Fire near Colorado Springs, Colo., has pushed about 4,500 evacuees out of their homes. Police are escorting some of them back in to pick up critical medications or rescue pets.
Six wildfires are now burning in Colorado.
The tone of Saturday's news conference turned from giving initial numbers of structures burned to addressing the concerns of the evacuees.
