The Colorado Department of Education has announced the state’s top online teachers at Colorado Virtual Academy, Monte Vista Online Academy and Colorado Connections Academy.

Some 200 state teachers, administrators, and mental health professionals participated in a school bullying prevention workshop Thursday in Thornton. The workshop addressed new ways education professionals can foster a positive and safe climate in all Colorado schools.

Student enrollment across Colorado continues to grow according to new numbers released by the Colorado Department of Education. Enrollment at the state’s schools increased by 1.3 percent this year—with some of the largest gains in Denver Public Schools, the state’s charter schools and full-time online learning programs.
