Colorado is home to a thriving culture of breweries – from large companies such as Molson-Coors in Golden, to small, homegrown operations like Dry Dock Brewing in Aurora. For two years, journalist and beer enthusiast Ed Sealover, traveled the state visiting more than 100 breweries. He’s now released Mountain Brew: A Guide to Colorado’s Breweries.
Sales of craft-brewed beer continued to soar nationally and in Colorado in the first six months of this year, according to new figures released by the Boulder-based trade group, the Brewers Association.
Despite the ongoing economic recession squeezing business in the U. S., the craft beer industry is thriving. And that’s turning out to be a good-news-bad news situation for several craft breweries in Colorado.
