The High Park Fire was reported at about 5:54am on Saturday, June 9th. The Larimer County Sheriff's office has confirmed that 181 homes have been destroyed since the fire first started.

Every month, NOAA puts out a report wrapping up big climate trends. Today, it reports that this past May was the second warmest on record.

"May 2012 also marks the 36^th consecutive May and 327^thconsecutive month with a global temperature above the 20^th century average," the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration reports.
