Light rain and snow fell on the Fern Lake Fire yesterday aiding the firefighters’ efforts. The fire has grown to 673 acres and is 5 percent contained. The extended weather forecast is for a warming and drying trend which could increase fire activity.
Smoke from the Fern Lake Fire, located on the eastern side of Rocky Mountain National Park continues to be seen Friday morning. The fire remains at zero percent containment and stands at 660 acres.
