The Federal Emergency Management Agency announced Wednesday it’s reimbursing the state for 75% of the cost of the 2010 Fourmile Canyon and Reservoir road fires.
A new documentary airing on local public television tonight tells the story of seven mountain residents who defied evacuation orders and battled last year’s Four Mile Canyon Fire near Boulder, ultimately helping save scores of homes from the state’s most destructive wildfire.
Several commemorative events and a fundraiser are planned this week marking the one year anniversary of the Four Mile Canyon fire west of Boulder which destroyed 169 homes and damaged scores more.
