County inspectors entered Eastwood Village, Jan. 30, 2014 and found trash and household hazardous waste throughout the neighborhood.

There are 208 private mobile homes in Evans seemingly frozen in time. Ravaged by the September flood and now abandoned, the city was counting on Federal Emergency Management Agency money for clean up. The agency turned down that request in a letter sent in November.

The Colorado Department of Transportation reported the ice dam break Thursday, briefly causing concern and emergency notification downstream. Later tweeting that no problems were reported in the Big Thompson Canyon, the Larimer Sheriff canceled the notifications.

In 2004, voters hoped to relieve traffic clogged roadways in Northern Colorado by approving the Northwest Rail Line. Eagerly anticipated by the city of Longmont, it now appears the 41 mile stretch of rail is decades away. In the interim, the Northwest Area Mobility Study is exploring other options for traffic relief.
Bus rapid transit is coming to Fort Collins, and that means proposed changes to some of the city’s existing bus routes. Jan. 28 marked the first of several outreach meetings aimed at showing off a new MAX bus, and the proposed route changes throughout the city.
