Hick: Protesters Can't Camp in Park

Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper says Wall Street protesters camped out near the state capitol cannot continue staying in the state-owned park overnight.  It's the latest move in the growing standoff between protesters and authorities.

'Occupy Denver' Protesters Want Camping Waiver

A protest against corporate greed mirroring "Occupy Wall Street" continued in Denver's Civic Center Park Wednesday, even as some worried authorities would try to remove the illegal campers.

Colorado authorities have not yet said whether protesters outside the state capitol will be allowed to continue camping out in a public park as part of a nationwide protest against corporate greed.  KUNC’s Kirk Siegler reports that the Occupy Denver protesters are asking Governor Hickenlooper for a waiver to camp at civic center park.

Dismal weather and cold temperatures didn't slow the planned protest & march Saturday for Occupy Denver. The protestors gathered in Civic Center Park along Broadway until Noon, then marched across Lincoln to the west side steps of the Capitol building.
