The text of President Obama's State of the Union address, as delivered:

Thank you. Thank you so much.

Mr. Speaker, Mr. Vice President, members of Congress, distinguished guests, and fellow Americans:

Last month, I went to Andrews Air Force Base and welcomed home some of our last troops to serve in Iraq. Together, we offered a final, proud salute to the colors under which more than a million of our fellow citizens fought – and several thousand gave their lives.

Following is the full text of Gov. Mitch Daniels' Republican Address to the Nation, as prepared for delivery:

President Obama opened and closed his speech with a tribute to the U.S. Armed Forces, holding out their "team" approach as an example for the rest of U.S. society. "At a time when too many of our institutions have let us down," he said, "they exceed all expectations. They're not consumed with personal ambition. They don't obsess over their differences. They focus on the mission at hand."

The president just announced a new initiative to help homeowners save money by refinancing their mortgages:

"Responsible homeowners shouldn't have to sit and wait for the housing market to hit bottom to get some relief.
