"When civil rights are under attack, what do we do? Stand up, fight back!" That was the cheer shouted by hundreds of protesters this afternoon at the University of Colorado Boulder and the annual 420 event.
In a departure from past events, CU has cracked down heavily on the annual 420 smoke-out held on campus. Following gathering protests surrounding the campus, a few protestors did make it onto CU grounds and assembled for the traditional smoking appointment.
In Boulder, the 64th Annual Conference on World Affairs got underway Monday with a rousing call for more civil dialogue in national and local politics from the founder of the bi-partisan Congressional Budget Office.
